Uber is not just about getting from A to B. There’s other aspects to it.
For instance, I’ve learned so much from chatty drivers. Now, to be fair, I always have to open the conversation, then Look Out!! In true taxi cab -like mode, they become happy-chatters. My recent Uber driver and I decided that our grandparents had a better lifestyle than we are experiencing and we enumerated the differences. And last Tuesday evening, I got into the car and heard the most wonderful jazz playing on the radio. Once home I immediately looked up local jazz clubs. And found one.
Then there was the thoughtful discussion on euthanasia one driver and I had. Another driver convinced me to change my route and took me to a better restaurant than the one I I started out for.
