Savannah GA

We’re here. Barb and I are staying at the Drayton, which is a beautiful boutique hotel It is decorated straight out of Southern Living. And we are loving it. I’d like to post some pics but am afraid I’ll mess up the page. Maybe later.

Food, food, food, Barb is a foodie and I eat anything that was once alive and someone else prepares. So Barb chooses the restaurants. I just chose from the menu.

Last night’s restaurant was called Traylor Parc. Here are some of the offerings on the menu.

Apple pie, lightly fried chicken and cheese sandwich, with sweet peach dip. (Absolutely declicious)

Fried Oreos for dessert. (We brought some home because we were too full)

Brownie/bacon with ice cream (the bacon is mixed in the brownie)

Low Country special

Shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage and onions tossed in a low country inspired butter sauce, topped wih shrimp , diced red pepper, fried onions, chives and bacon.

Small (or large) bottles of Red Hot Sauce is always on the table; even breakfast.

Tonight we are going to a gourmet up – market restaurant. Should be interesting.
