Today is Nov 6, one day after the election of the United States President and various congress people.
Trump won. Decisively. He blitzed. So now we have a convicted felon as President of the United States of America. What has happened to America? How did we come to this?
I’m ashamed. appalled, angry. Everything I stand for is not in Trump’s vision. Since I made a concentrated effort to not listen to him, I don’t actually know what his agenda is.
If you want to teach a monkey the times table, you repeat it to him multiple times. Eventually the monkey will know it. Trump said he was great so many times, people actually believed him.
I think people heard Trump desecrate the opposition so much, they believed him . They heard him rant about criminal immigrants, and they believed him
Immigrants being criminals has been proven not to be true. But it doesn’t matter. Trump said it often.
In a strange way, he reminds me of Rupert Murdoch. Truth doesn’t matter.
My friends and I are grieving, trying to get through this and resume life. It’s such a black, horrible day for America.
I am shocked and so sorry that women did not march to the polls and vote for Women’s Rights. When did we women stop taking care of each other? When did it become OK to take away the rights we fought for many years ago?
And I wonder what is not being published. How many Trump votes were motivated by men not wanting to have a woman in charge.
Many blue collar men still feel that way. But there has been no reference to that in the news reports.
I read one account of the election results and will not read any more. I don’t need an analysis. The result is in.
I read Kamala’s concession speech. She was accepting of her loss and exhibited integrity. Then she said her values were important and we should still fight to have them.
What she didn’ t say, was that she has integrity and by inference, Trump doesn’t. Her values are diametrically opposed his obvious lack of and she emphasied that her values are of a high standard and people should continue to use them.
I’m devastated. This is a horrible time for America and the world.
