And a apparently the more decorations one puts up or out, makes the holiday happier.
Before Thanksgiving, I saw outdoor lights, plastic Santa’s, twinkles, and lit candles.
One home has two Christmas trees, one skinny so it doesn’t take up much room and another one which is quirky, with a manniquin emerging from a full skirted tree.
Both are beautiful and I don’t care how much my friends and relatives decorate. It is all beautiful and makes me feel like in a fairy land.
My son’s house has no less than 8 floor rugs with Santa on them, sprinkled around. In fact, maybe more since I wasn’t in every room.
Again, I don’t care but it seems OTT, Over The Top, and I can’t help fondly remembering my many Christmases in Australia.
But all of that is a personal choice. If someone enjoys all the decorating, good on them.
But it sure seems like a lot of work for a short return.
