FOR THE SAKE OF GOOD MUSIC

As you know, I live in Fort Lauderdale and love music of all sorts. Recently I booked a series at New World Symphony at Miami Beach and attended the first concert last night.

It was wonderful. They did Aaron Copeland’s Portrait of Lincoln, Beethoven and it was glorious.

But the experience cost me 9 hours. Why? Because I took a Lyft to the bus station. Then bus #1 to Adventura Mall. After that I boarded bus 100 to the venue on 17th Street. Found the venue, entered, found my seat, and the concert began.

I relaxed and enjoyed.

But checking the transportation schedules, I realized I would have to leave the concert early to get the last bus to Fort Lauderdale.

So I did even though they were doing Beethoven’s Bonaparte. I found the bus stop, boarded bus 100 to Aventura Mall. Then I boarded Bus 1 to Fort Lauderdale Central Terminal. Rain began with gusto, buckets of rain, a deluge of rain.

In the rain, I arrived at the Central Terminal, where there were a few folks camped for the night. Then I called a Lyft which arrived and delivered me to my home.

I opened my front door at 12:05. So the time I spent was from 3:00 pm to 12:05 am for a 2 hour concert, which I didn’t hear all of.

The music was wonderful but the trip was gruesome. How can I solve this problem?
