Being a blogger

Sorry folks, but I am learning how to do this blogging thing. And it’s fun. Someone once said to me, many years ago, “The day you stop learning is the day you start dying.” And learning new stuff is part of the merry-go-round this year. It’s mini adventure.

  1. Good to know this is your blog. When I read your email, I did wonder why Abigail?
    What about Instagram too???

  2. Was going to comment on the bus ride and the homeless story but comments are closed.

I love your blog. Your writing is as vivid as ever. Can I request more photos? I need pics with my stories 😉

I’ve started working (volunteering) with a group in Maitland on Saturday nights serving free meals. Every week more and more people come along. Not all homeless, but all needing support. It’s often generational trauma that leads to family breakdown, drug dependency, unemployment and homelessness. We see it every day as teachers; the students who are not developing into engaged citizens. We can blame the short term thinking of short term governments. I think society could be kinder though, and more empathetic.

Thank you so much for sharing your blog. You are such an inspiration to all travellers.
