IT’S NOT MY FAULT

It’s because of my beautiful, tall, blonde niece.

I have 4 nieces, each gorgeousl, but Ashlie is the one I see the most. And every time I see her, she looks like she’s modeling the lastest fastion trends. And she does it effortlessly. Who else in their early 50’s can wear a huge brimmed straw hat with a mni dress and look fab? Who can choose a tacky looking white enameled flowered necklace and make it look terrific on a black knit top with jeans? Her wardrobe and style pointed out my inadquacies.

So when I visited an upmarket womens clothing store at Adventura Mall, I envisioned Ashlie beside me. When I tried on a white, flowly blouse, I saw her in it. The new jeans were wide legged and I imaged my blonde niece wearing her hat with a scarf waving in the breeze, looking like a cover of Vogue magazine. (I bought a straw hat, too.) I imagined the ocean breeze rippling the drape of the next blouse I put on, with the sunset in the background. Subdued, classic, elegant, expensive.

So I bought stuff. A lot of stuff. In fact, I purchased a whole new spring wardrobe including jeans, blouses, belts, and a bag.

How much I spent is not my fault. I couldn’t help it. I’m just trying to model Ashlie!!!
