What a wonderful weekend of music and exploration. I attended 3 concerts in 4 days, all in South Beach.
And came away with such respect for REAL musicians and the hard work they put in to creative marvelous sounds. Jazz was the highlighted genre and it was fascinating. It was surprising that about 100 folks elected to watch/listen to the concert outside, with chairs, portable tables, snacks, and warm cuddly coats. It was definitely fresh to cold last night.
The night was perfect until……..time to come home. Then it became a nightmare. South Beach is 2 hours by bus from my home. I needed the 100 Adventura Mall bus, and then onward from there.
I waited. And waited, Still waiting after an hour, along with a number of other people at the bus stop. These busses came: 100 Haulover, 79 Haileah, 32, 49 and 70. But no 100. The temperature was dropping, leaving fresh and cool behind and entering damned cold.
Finally I called an Uber and entered the apartment for a hot, hot shower around 1:00am.
