Not liviing in a cold climate for a long time, I forgot how to dress for it. I’m hot, cold, sweating, shivering all in the same hour.
I put layers on, then a coat. And I’m comfortable outside.
When I go inside, take off the coat, the trunk of my body sweats. Nothing to do about that because I’m certainly not going to undress publicly. Feet are toastly but begin swelling inside my boots.
On this trib UBER drivers are a major focus. A great one told me about her birth and subsequent adoption. Her birth mother was single and had no choice but to put her baby, my UBER driver, into an orphanage. Society was not kind to single Moms in those days, By accident she found her birth mother years later.
We commented that society is still not kind or single Moms or women in general. Then we reached my destination.
